I would have called and talked to a manager and brought the car in to let him see it and give him a chance to fix the situation before freaking out like a bitch on a message board. But that's just me

Amen. Mistakes happen and you've made them to. Give them a chance.

Honestly, considering we live in a rape culture, I'd rape the manager. Not bc I'm gay but as a power play.

Anytime you have work done you are responsible for inspecting it.

I'm sure they did and have documentation of the condition of the vehicle when it arrived and left.

It's your fault for not inspecting it. It probably didn't happen there anyway.

Perhaps it's your writing skills. So far the only common denominator is you.

And like another poster mentioned, you had several stops after you picked up your car (ie accepted it) where the damage could have occurred. God luck proving which location the damage occurred at.

If you are really going to buy a new car anyway and they aren't going to repair it see if they will give you a great trade in price for it to shut you up.

can agree with this... Because you left you'll never be able to prove liability on their part... So you might wanna go in their and explain what happened like a mature adult and maybe they'll help you out... Go in there like a douche and get treated like one...

If there is rocker damage, its unlikely he did it in a parking lot. Doucheness aside. Only way the average dumbass can damage the underside of the rockers is a curb, parking stops, or rock crawling. Since its a Honda, parking stop and rock crawling are out. Not too hard to prove/demonstrate it fell off the lift.

That said, I had the best experiences I've ever gad at a dealership at Richards. I had a Honda and they were top notch. That doesnt mean an employee can't frick up. You want shitty dealership service, go to a Jeep or Chevy dealer. Holy hell, its like they're annoyed you walked in the door.

So, I agree with all that you should man up and actually talk to them before getting all e-crazy up in this bitch.

As I said in the OP, I've done a lot of business with Richards and have always been treated very well. The salesman I deal with is almost like a brother from another mother and always takes care of me. Compared to Team, I love Richards, but this was a big frick up.

Uh...yeah that probably didn't happen at the gym. Looks like it fell off or made contact with a lift.

You need to take it over there and be polite.

Also be prepared to make an insurance claim because it's almost a certainty that they'll deny it. I doubt they have cameras around their lifts.

Either that car was dropped or you ran over something, still confused on why your car and tire is not clean as a whistle. Every time Ive had work done on my car at the dealership they at least run it through the carwash.

I drive a minimum 1000 miles a month for work, I'd know if it was my fault and would not dare to try pinning it off on the dealer. I work in insurance and wouldn't think of trying to pull that stunt off.

I understand but my car goes to Price Leblanc's and every time I have work they run through the car wash, you have a lot dust on your car.
