Pecker I really don’t hate the frats and have nothing against the groups themselves. I just thought it odd that you said you paid so you didn’t have to hang out with losers.

I don’t know why some of the other old school fraternity bros here haven’t told you to STFU... I was never in a frat, but I don’t think they’re a bad thing - you’re just making the rest of those guys look like assholes
And save me the ‘you never got a bid’ shite.. I was asked numerous times to join TKE @ SLU (might have been sig tau, I forget) - but I didn’t think it was for me

I'm not surprised that you don't understand the idea behind paying fraternity and sorority dues, or what that money goes to. Please continue to tell me more about greek life.

I'll never understand the "I didn't pay to rent friends" comment. Frats are social clubs (among other things). Like most clubs, the members gravitate towards other members. We pay/paid for a house and social activities. Friendships were created from this. Not the sole purpose. So the rent-a-friend comment is as foolish as "sorry you didn't get a bid".

This is true. And a lot of athletes actually hang out at fraternity houses.

Maybe where you went to school. We were in general just friends with them. We had some athletes like golfers and baseball players in our fraternity. The athletes hung around the fraternity house for sorority girls.
