I thought Lee borrowed an uncles white truck once. ? But not the vehicle used for every crime. ??

Remember this is a rural area. There are two guns you can almost guarantee are in every house no matter what race. A .22 and a shotgun.
Also, if a person wants a firearm to commit a murder and doesn't wanna buy one then of course they will steal it. Flat screen TVs and guns are the top items stolen in rural areas, especially hunting camps. The fact that two different shot sizes were used in the shotgun incidents also tells me they didn't go but a box of buckshot. These are either assorted shells stolen from a camp or random ones found laying around the house and just what they could get their hands on. Based on that, my very un informed, uneducated, random guess without any further information is the shooter is likely a juvenile and the shotgun wasn't a weapon of choice but what was available
It's likely that the wife gave them at least the race of the shooter. I'm still leaning towards white guy, but I'm open to surprises if it means they catch him.

If the killer went towards Clinton there are a lot of businesses at the end of 63. I bet they are gathering up and combing through any footage that fits the time frame of minutes after he was shot.
I am assuming that some of these places have security cameras. Hopefully not potatoes.
Also, Cell towers may lead them to the killer. If they cannot triangulate exactly they should at least be able to tell who had their cell number in the area where all four were shot. This is not easy research and takes time. It is helpful that it is rural and the numbers should be low.

Just to be clear, I'm not suggesting a race. Just disagreeing with those that have suggested the shooter likely isn't black because a shotgun was used

I think we will find that it was not racially motivated. This is an opportunistic killer.
I also think he will be in jail within two weeks. He has left 2-4 live witnesses. Mr. Hornsby lived and has surely given a description.
The wife from today also saw him. I don't know if her children were actually out there to see anything. She apparently saw her husband shot multiple times from a distance of about 10 feet.

While I agree with you, this makes me wonder what the motive would be. At least if it was a black guy, we could assume racial motive. White and blue collar, what could they have against these guys?

Where are you getting this info? I have not seen that mentioned anywhere. Would they at least had a better description of the get away car then?

Everything I have read has either been in this thread, WAFB, WBRZ, or The Advocate websites. I have not searched the whole interwebs to see if they have extra.
ETA: The third to last post on page 5 of this thread had this information. It was from a poster's father who was at the hospital sitting close to the wife.

Besides the shotgun, the type of shot used has me thinking it’s a white male. Bird shot and then buck shot. Like someone said previously, maybe this guy forgot what shells were loaded due to recent hunting.
And yes I know black males hunt, but I’m guessing more white males are out there hunting percentage wise.

B was shot in the chest first, then the second shot came as he hit the ground. my father said the exit would looked more to be a single shot vs a "spread". they have some leads.....
