Could be . My intuition tells me the opposite. IMHO, this is more likely to be a solo thrill kill serial killer rather than a “ cause killer” who is extremely comfortable in this area. He is among his own. He doesn’t stand out. He knows the lay of the land . That said, East Feliciana is basically 50/50 so who knows . People need to set up cameras in their yards and keep an eye on each other .

I hope the wife got a good look.
The FBI isn’t involved?

I would be willing to bet they have been called. Greg Phares is the Chief Deputy. Greg is former Chief of Police in Baton Rouge and interim Sheriff. Greg knows when it's time to call in the Calvary.

Tommy Bass the 63 yr old was killed around 10 am on July 8th. Buck Hornsby was shot on September 12th around 730 am. Carroll Breeden was shot September 22nd at 5:45 PM Latest Victim was shot at 11:16 am.
My gut says the first one is not related. Much further apart in time and on a Saturday. Also, sounds like his killers had to get out the car and come on his property. Bet killer knew the victim.
Last 3 seem related. If, so could be doing it on way too or from work. Today is a federal holiday so maybe someone that works for govt. or other job that observes federal holidays.

I doubt anyone who is going to shoot someone is worried about there work schedule.
Posted on 10/9/17 at 4:56 pm to Janky
That's actually just wrong. Killers will try to kill at a time when no one will notice their absence...aka outside working hours, or when wife expects them at home, etc.

News alert I just received says there are some things in common between the four victims but I can't open it. What are they? I'm just getting to this story so forgive my ignorance if that's already common knowledge.

I'm not sure for thrill Killers but for true serial killers I think there is generally a larger gap between the 1st and 2nd (assuming these are the 1st) as opposed to the next kills.

It's not a serial killer in the traditional sense.
Just by watching this press conference

Sheriff Travis on now
Multi agency investigation:
LSP
EFSO
West Fel SO

Not using the word serial killer at the moment.
They have reached out to the FBI.

Gautreaux makes it sound like it's all connected
Posted on 10/9/17 at 5:15 pm to magildachunks
I'm not so sure how bright this Sheriff Travis is or at least when speaking he seems a bit lost. But maybe he's smart enough to hire Phares.

Apparently he's pretty smart.
But ol Sid deciding to get his face on camera is the one who makes me think it's not random

It’s got to be connected and it seems they also have some physical evidence and are also not releasing a description of the perp, only of vehicle. In this area, you would think you would want the public to know who they are looking for and not keep it under wraps.

The more comfortable they get, the closer together the shootings become.
