This is crazy. First, it's reported that human remains are found. Then, the Aruba prosecutor says these were animal bones. Now, we're back to human bones (or fragments) which belong to a young woman of Eastern European descent like Natalee. Crazy.

Imagine being a parent and actually hoping bones turn out to be those of your murdered child. fricked up.

I'm sure this is all just for ratings hype.

I think it's all about closure now. On that anyways.

This really could cost Aruba big time if they are her bones. The dad makes a discovery of her remains, Aruba remains mum and denies they are hers, independent DNA analysis gets performed and proves it's her. Aruba would take a big hit IMO

What really is "closure"?
I hope I am never in this situation, but I figured I would always hold on to the hope she'd turn up alive somewhere.

I've never liked this word for this type of situation. I don't necessarily have a better replacement. I would say that in this case, "closure" would mean the case of what happened would be resolved and perhaps they can move forward in whatever stage of grief and adjustment they currently find themselves.

I think moving forward in dealing with grief and death and life is better than "closure". There's never full closure in losing a loved one and certainly not when it's a premature or violent or tragic loss. It's more of a step in the process of learning to continue to live with the loss in my mind.
