I don't know the answer to those questions but I think is pretty messed up that the Dad has made a television series out of the search for his daughters remains. That's pretty f'n pathetic.

I wondered whether his doing the series was a financial decision to fund the investigation into the new tips they were getting? If that's the case, I would sell my soul to followup on tips on my missing child.

Were they filming while he was looking at these new leads over the past 18 months per Daddy Holloway and happened to luck up and find human bones?

If I understood correctly, this "new information" was brought forth by this Gabriel cat. If those are her bones and he knew about the location, i wonder if he'll get charges as well.

That's the way I understand it.

It may be that they have laws such that the time has run on anything he may have done or not done. Perhaps that's why he spilled the beans, assuming them to be factual.

Wonder what role the brothers (forgot their names) actually played in this new scenario?

I watched the first installment. Dave Holloway is very likable and I have even more sympathy for he and Beth.

I was surprised to hear the new witness say the body was dug up, cremated by a cooperative funeral home and the ashes sprinkled in the sea. If true, presumably not many bones were found in the alleged burial spot.

Dave is a really nice guy and is not one to seek the limelight. He was my parents' State Farm agent for years including during this tragedy. To insinuate that he is doing this for money is a crock of horse shite.

Do you think he's doing this on TV for money to help pay for the investigation they did when they got the new information? That's what I think because it had to be pretty expensive to go back and forth to Aruba and also dig around there again. I'm not saying this was for profit, but to help with the costs to pursue the new info.

If he's not a guy to seek the limelight, what other reason would there be to have a national documentary series following this investigation? As I said earlier, I'd sell my soul if it meant finding out what happened to my child and getting the money to do it.

You seem to be up to date with this case. Didn't a judge in Aruba state that it wasn't human bones which were found?

And to answer your previous question, the brothers were

They already debunked this. They found animal bones. News they found her body was all for the TV show. They didn't find her and never will. This show is all about the $$$

I haven't heard or read anything about that. Her father has been on TV on at least one network and maybe more stating that the bones most recently found in the area pointed out by the informant have been found to be human and they should have DNA results in the next 30 days.

One thing that was curious, though, in the show was the guy Dave spoke with said something about them going back and digging up her body, having a cooperating funeral home cremate her and spreading her ashes in the ocean. I don't know if they just found a few little leftover bones where she was allegedly initially buried or the cremation story was bunk and they found the full body of bones. I assume that will be addressed as the show goes on. I haven't really looked up any articles to see if that's addressed.

Oh, wow, I just found an article on this and I had no idea Dave was claiming they brought the remains to the US to be tested. That doesn't even make sense. How could he even get them out of Aruba? In his suitcase?

LINK

So, is Dave just lying to promote the show knowing the bones are not human? He doesn't seem like that sort of person, but my goodness, if he knows the bones have been found to be of an animal, why in the world would he claim them to be human? This is pretty sad.

Kind of sick, but yes I agree. Unless the dad is truly using the tv $ to continue funding his investigation then you could understand him playing along with the bs storyline (sort of).

I have no idea but just a guess - it's possible he doesn't trust the results of local authorities considering how well connected VS is/was. Maybe he wants a doc or clinic he trusts to give a 2nd opinion??

They financed his investigation. It was a way to continually pay to search for her.

I'm not sure I guess it is possible. He closed his SF office several years ago and my parents havent spoken to him since. I'm not even sure if he's living in Meridian anymore. I just can't imagine him doing this for the little bit of money these shows pay. If anything I can see him doing the show to bring focus back to his daughter's case and not for money. And for all those saying he is exploiting his dead daughter FUQ YOu!

I'm just floored that he's saying the remains found are human and the Aruba prosecutor is saying remains found were animal. Then, there's the issue of getting them to the US to be tested. Did they just pick them up and ship them in the mail? This is crazy stuff.

I haven't watched the show yet or read that the prosecutor is denying anything. I just assumed from the articles I have read that the remains were turned over to the authorities. If not, I agree that is odd. And is it a known fact that this is the same spot that animal bones were previously found?

With how shoddy the initial investigation went, I'd be hesitant to turn over any new evidence to the authorities either. Those cops and investigators were puppets on a string to Vandersloot judge.
