if only we could find a commonalty amongst these crime locations.

I saw a news report just a couple of days ago where BRPD was touting that they were confident that their new multi-million dollar "real time crime center" would help in solving and stopping these crimes. Went on to mention that the technology would help them focus in on the areas where these events are most likely to take place.

Are you fricking kidding me? You need a room full of TV and computers to figure out where these crimes are taking place?

We should open up a whole new board for these shootings.

Remember this when your watching NFL tonight, that you’re the snowflake for calling out BLM’s hypocrisy.

Bringing attention to something that harms people of color at a rapid rate in our city and other cities. This nonsense has got to end

Only problem at this point is the victim is still alive and will not tell the cops how shot them. Then that person will hunt down the first gun man/woman.

How can you live in BR or New Orleans and not invest in body armor?

Only necessary if you are spending any extended period of time in NBR or selected other areas like the state streets by LSU.

The violence started spreading in BR in the 90s. I think it had a lot to do with the school desegregation case and forced bussing. The middle class just said screw it and moved to the burbs.

I guess it's better to shoot each other before the police can do it.

Or just the website that the city provides free of charge. Here's January through September, 2020. Tagged HOMICIDE which includes attempts as well as actual homicides

East Baton Rouge Parish Coroner, William 'Beau' Clark, took to Facebook Thursday morning to note that 2020 has been a "devastating year" for the capital region, with murders outpacing the rate of deaths caused by deadly car crashes.

Dr. Clark said as of September 10, the parish has lost a total of 90 individuals to homicides, 175 to overdoses, approximately 60 to motor vehicle crash deaths, approximately 2,900 to natural deaths, and a total of 30 citizens to suicide.

The numbers reflect a significant increase in these types of deaths since last year.

Dr. Clark explained, "That is more than 30 homicides, more than 100 overdoses, more than 10 motor vehicle crash deaths, more than 900 natural deaths (approximately 425 COVID and 500 more due to other natural causes) compared to this time last year."

That’s what the DA said

It’s a shame no one will report an actual murder count for a capital city

Broome's reelection campaign? It's definitely being brushed under the rug all the sudden.
