If this shooter was indeed handicapped and confronted the guy, so be it. I don't blame him. And once the other guy punched him, if he's handicapped, and if he was in fear of his life, I say he should be in the Jaycee Parade come Christmas for ridding society of a scum bag who picks on the infirm.

Shooter was yelling at a woman (dude’s wife) first, I wouldn’t say either were worth a damn. Shooter has had an itchy trigger finger for awhile it seems.

don't park in handicapped spots if you aren't permitted.... some people use them as express parking spots.....

You can issue a citizens ticket that the police department will be pick up as a legit ticket here in Houston You have to be "trained" though.

Do we really know he did it first? Did he possibly mention it was a handicap spot to the wife, and then the wife went off yelling at him, then he yelled back?

If that other report is true, it would seem so.

This is simply a case of, "When keeping it real goes wrong!" You put your hands on a grown man and there's a good possibility you wind up getting a cap in your arse! That playground hood rat shite like shoving someone down may work with the homeboys in school but when you pick a man to try that on he may nut check your arse with a hollow point in your chest! Play stupid games and win stupid prizes. By the time you're out of highschool you should have already learned to keep your hands to yourself!

Multiple witnesses and video show old bastard went after the dude’s wife first. So yeah we know for sure he started everything by being pissy about a parking spot. Witnesses went into the store to tell the operator that old guy was laying into a lady outside and that is why the dead guy went out there all tough.

Why does Good Morning America feel a need to invite this girl onto the show to stir up more trouble and unrest across the country? The man was justified in shooting her boyfriend, regardless of what she sees as “justice”.

If you choose to get physical and attack somebody, you have to understand that they have a right to defend themselves with their firearm if they feel like their life is threatened.

This could wind you up in jail in some states. This looks bad on responsible gun owners and can be used against us. That’s why it is national news.

In my opinion, once he pulled the gun, there was enough distance between the shooter and victim (person shot) that the shooter should be charged. If the victim made any motions to go toward him (once gun was drawn), I have no problem with him shooting. It was obvious to me from the video that once the gun was pulled the victim had no intention of harming the shooter. I'm all in favor of stand your ground, but when you shoot you should be in immediate danger and he wasn't.

I finally saw the video. I typically support this rule, but I can’t in this situation.

Guy should be charged with manslaughter since the other man backed away, imo. Now had the other man charged at him again after backing away then by all means shoot

So you don’t think a old grandpa type of guy should feel threatened or in danger at all after a young buck in his 20’s pulls a fast one and knocks him to the ground when he’s not looking?? It’s a split second, life or death decision. Put yourself in the old man’s shoes.

It does. I'm afraid now this "law" will be used in retaliation and against law enforcement. Any African American in Florida can make a prima facie case that he is in fear of his life when approached after this situation. It looks like this was premeditated.

As previously stated old boy went around looking for trouble.
Now Congress is pushing a law that can actually take firearms from unstable people.

So who gets to say who gets to take your guns?

Because she was there and the mother of his kids.

frick you. I guarantee if these people were white, you’d think otherwise. The guy parked in a handicapped spot. What if say someone chased you down for going 85 in a 70, found your SO and kid going after them, and then you’re shot and killed for pushing him down?

If that guy thought his life was threatened, he’s the biggest pussy on the planet.

So...the guy already violently shoved the shooter to the ground...do you then have to wait for him to jump on top and beat your brains in before you "stand your ground?"

Are you really this stupid. Once Guy was pushed down, he had right to pull handgun and defend ground. No right to shoot until other guy makes a move such that guy standing ground reasonably believed his life in danger. Problem is that guy never made another move.

Older man was violently shoved to ground and shot the "victim" once (and only once).
This is only national news because it was white on black.
