This episode will further erode gun rights that responsible gun owners enjoy.

If the woman in this incident had a gun and shot the guy who harassed her-by this same law- she would have not be charged. All she had to do is claim she was in fear for her life.

This promotes a shoot first mentality. After all the next guy you have a confrontation with may be like this baw and out looking for trouble.

Never understood why we let women off. Are you telling me she didn't know he was a drug dealer? Was she benefitting from illegal/undocumented income? Why is the getaway driver just as responsible as the bank robber, but the women that gets the fur coats and diamonds are "innocent"

I would just like to know to what extent this law can be pushed. For instance, if the dead guy's wife was armed, and felt threatened by the old man, could she shoot him and claim she was standing her ground? Seems like an awfully slippery slope.

My slippery slope example... What if I am screwing some rich dude's wife and we decide to have him catch us in the act in his bed and then I shoot him when he starts threatening me? Just the wife and I as witnesses and "reasonable" belief that I was going to experience physical harm.
