Yet they can use the Reid technique to interview you, which means they can lie.

Is it too early for Gabbys parents to file a civil suit against BL and his parents?
I would say any time is good, but he live s100 miles away, with a lot of woods and swamp between them. He may want to Guantanamo them, until they beg to talk, instead of ignoring him. Decent people would have answered their phones.
On a side note, this Baw wants err'one to know he is not BL.
Not BL

If the others were decent people, we would know by now what they have to say. That is pretty much the whole story. How you luh dat?

Seriously, they have chuckleheads marching in front of their house with bullhorns and custom printed T-Shirts these days, you think anything they say will make a difference to the chucklehead population of America?

I think the chuckleheads would have never showed their faces if the POI's parents had shown one iota of cooperation, from the beginning. They hid, misled, and gave their baby time for a good head start.
"Oh, I'm sorry. We told you the wrong day that he bailed."
All I am saying is that they need to have a chance to tell their side. Let's depose.

Well I guess they are lucky you cannot compel speech. I am not saying they are guilty or innocent, I just believe people are jumping to conclusions.
When cases get this much media, innocent people get screwed by the system all the time. If they were smart, they would keep there mouths shut and communicate with authorities via a lawyer.

Yes Baw, you can. It happens every day.

That would be THEIR, Lightning. If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, Quacks, etc., I don't need a DNA test.
You hang out now, doubting that what they are showing is true.

At this point, how would that be in their best interest? Morally, if they knew anything, the time to talk was before they found Gabby’s body. Now, there is nothing good that can come from them talking.

Well, if they’ve done anything illegal, they can just plead the 5th. If they haven’t and just don’t want to make it easier to find their son, they can refuse to answer and be held in contempt if that’s what the judge decided. Clearly the parents decided they were willing to accept a certain level of consequences to assist Brian to whatever level they have.
I have both a son and a daughter. As the father of a daughter, I can see being Gabby’s dad and wanted to hunt down and slaughter all the Laundries and anyone they’ve ever known. As the father of a son, however, I can imagine wanting to do anything I could to protect him as well. Without knowing what they’ve done, exactly, I’m not ready to paint those parents as the monsters a lot of people are ready to. They may have made some bad choices, but they didn’t ask to be put in this situation and it sucks for them too.
Btw, who does the lawyer in NYC represent? It seems at this point there’s a conflict of interest for him to be representing both Brian and his parents. He doesn’t seem like a very good attorney anyway.

We don't even know if Brian is "on the spectrum". Or if Gabby was. Or if some behaviour might be tied to that.
In their (neither his nor hers but their) possession as seen on a photo was at least one book about living with the kind of autism where the person likes dark and quiet and doesn't like crowds.

Nothing new.
I watched her parents on a tape of Dr Phil. Nothing new there, but very sad.

How are people still defending BL in this thread. He killed her you dumb fricks. Intentionally killed her. Went on the run and his parents aided his escape. All should be charged when they catch him.

any updates today?
They found a recently used campsite in the Carlton reserve. It has been closed to the public.
They asked his father to help them search, but postponed that after they found the campsite.
campsite found.

Okay, that's kind of big news. I've been assuming the preserve was just used as a diversion & that BL was never in the preserve. This may prove that he was or still is in there.
I wonder what they found and how "recent" they mean when they say it's been recently used. Was the campsite used a couple days ago or 1-2 weeks ago?
Hopefully, they will release more information on this throughout the day.
I recall everyone saying initially that the carlton preserve is a massive swamp & home to dangerous wildlife like gators, panthers, snakes, etc. I still find it very hard to believe that he has survived 3.5 weeks hiding in there.
