Only thing I could think of is if it may be just a new wrinkle thrown in the mix in hopes to get some kind of movement out of Brian and or the parents.
Dog went to the parents house and they released a statement today claiming they don't know where their son is.
They also called the police on Dog for knocking on their door.

I guess that Dog was technically on their property, so yeah. One of the funniest 911 calls ever, the YouTuber Onision called the police when pretty much the most famous person you don’t want knocking on your door was knocking on his door: “…It’s Chris Hansen.”

UPDATE. According to Dog's team: #Pinellas Co. Deputy arrived to Fort De Soto park to check new lead in case. Return tomorrow as it's too dark now for search. Tip suggests parents may have visited more than once. Location of campsite spot specific.

As long as I had contact with the outside world and as long as people were hanging out in front of my house like they are, I might leave periodically as well.
