When you start to think about it they probably had lots of supplies available to dispose of a body. The cargo bag, tent tarps etc. He could have bundled up a body pretty well.
Which makes it more bizarre that she was easily found close by sort of out in the open.
This is assuming he didn’t bury her and left her there where she was found.
Dude must have gotten spooked when he was spotted by the Bethune couple and the other chick that claims to have seen him.
Again, assuming the timeline is accurate and she was killed around that time.
Real curious to see if they have a good idea on the time of death.

It's all BuckyCheese with his Aunt Edna inspiration.

You kinda lost me here. He wanted her to be found and he wanted to be caught? Or he wanted her to be found while he was hiking nearby, and then he was just going to be on the run in close proximity to the body?
ETA: i get it now. He was hoping she was found while he was gone so he could play dumb upon return.

It does make you wonder but maybe he was expecting that parking spot to be more discreet that it turned out to be, the one witness repeatedly said she noticed the van since it wasn't in a spot where people were supposed to camp and they should have been told to move. Might have picked it to be away from others but didn't work out as planned.
I think the not doing a better job with the materials on hand were he panicked or like above said wanted her to be found "while he was hiking"

Would have to clean up the van pretty well huh?
Yeah, but he has a cover for the cleanup...she was OCD and beat his arse for putting dirty feet in the van.

He's a cracked egg...he probably had ten different thoughts about all this, and just picked dumb ones

We don’t know and not even sure if he thought it through.
One idea is he can plead she was killed by a stranger or maybe bear attack while he was out “hiking in the backwoods”

Its obvious he didn't plan this out...

“The chopper crew said what they believed to be GP body. We will not he showing it.”
For all we know once the dogs alerted, searchers cleared the dirt back, found the remains, and called for the coroner. The helicopter seeing that cleared area still isnt proof that she was never buried. Plus, it seems she was preserved enough that they immediately knew it was her. That doesnt sound like a body that had been left above ground for a month
Here are 2 photos of the spot where she was found. Her stepfather made a rock cross to mark the spot. It looks like the rocks are set in a small ridge, where the body might have been recovered from

And Not if you go by the Trail cam
Soooo....you're just ignoring that police came out and said that it was not him on the trail cam, and that they even identified the man who was on the trail cam, and talked to him and he, himself said he passed by that trail cam?

Tillman Corner sightings
You're just going to ignore the fact that it has been filed away with other false sightings and that it is but one of probably hundreds or thousands of false sightings that have been reported?

Soooo....the FBI and local law enforcement solicit the help of the general public to help find the guy, but when they do have a sighting/tip, and that tip is verified, they decide they no longer want the help of the general public by openly lying and saying it wasn't him? To what end?

He definitely USED Union Pacific Railroad or CSX to get out of Florida...
I very highly doubt it.

This one is a toss up..
but planning a murder is tough work. recall the Vince Marinello murder..?
Talk about clown world plans a murder he made a “To do” list and left it in his camper
?Rope
?Bullets
?Duct tape
??Throw wig away
?Throw gun over bridge
??Get rid of Receipts
??Burn “to do” list
that last one slipped his mind

Put her on the roof like Aunt Edna.
You know in some of the photos it looks like they had one of those big soft side cargo carriers they strapped to the roof. She would have fit in it.
A joke brings a new possibility.
Good catch.
Thing is they already located her nearby.

BL may have gone on a camping trip with his parents on Labor Day weekend. One of the neighbors saw them leave with a camper in tow for a long weekend.

You assume too much. Why can’t they find they guy on hi viz video from the morning of the siting..? But they can somehow, miraculously find some total Rando roaming the backwoods of the Alabama panhandle..?
Gotcha. Funny how that works.

Your lazy and refuse to read and follow the thread.
Go back read my comment about why.

True and probably nothing.
But everyone pretty much assumed she was killed at the van parking spot or where she was found. It just shows that he could of killed her somewhere else and transported the body while leaving little forensic trace in/on the van. Why he would pick there I have no idea.

If he tried to bundle the body or used the cargo bag as a body bag it would have helped preserve the body while leading straight to him. Stupid yes but stranger thing have happened.
Also if he had bloody clothes etc. to dispose of he could have put them in the carrier and disposed of them states away the ran through the carwash every time he got gas. No trace in/on the van.
He probably wasn't thinking this clearly but who knows.
