This is an interesting point. The parents reported him missing, but they are not begging for him to come home or pleading with folks to report any sightings as folks do many times when a family member is "missing". Of course, in this case, the "missing" individual is a Person of Interest in what now appears to be a homicide matter.

I think people are overestimating what a 20 something man is going to tell his parents about things he did wrong. Seriously, all he had to say to them is we broke up and I came home. That would explain why they ignored calls from the other parents, etc. She is missing, he can stick to the story, I left, I do not know anything about what happened after that... Seriously, these parents may not know squat.

You guys are acting as if he came home and just spilled his guts, etc...

So...for those of us who haven't dissected the helicopter footage...what did it show, burial or on top of ground?

Meh, they could let the news fade after his body is found and skip town in a few years.

They are not constantly studied like BL/GP are so people would forget their faces after awhile. They could easily make a go of it in another part of the country.

Well being miserable for a "few years". Or having to move to another part of the country and possibly selling/loosing (the juice thing seems relatively local and I don't know how marketable it is) their business in the process would seem to be paying a price to me. YMMV

It was edited as soon as a bunch of people spotted it. I did not see it, but they said her body was clearly visible. I can just assume that means she was not buried.

If that’s all he said then they don’t know where he is and you would think they would be asking for him to come home?

Or again like I said maybe lawyer has them keeping quiet. Who the heck knows.

Sure, but if I were constantly being harassed by neighbors and my business was suffering, I’d relocate in a heartbeat and find a new way to make money.

Not that hard really

What does my post have to do with this?

I've not suggested his parents know anything other than what has been made public which is that she's dead and he's a Person of Interest who they reported missing.

If true, that's very strange. It would probably mean she died where she was found, and whoever killed her simply up and left without bothering to cover their tracks.

So why did he lawyer up?

Did you get an attorney to write a letter to the authorities after each of your breakups?

Devils advocate here. Maybe lawyer told them to not make any public statements? Or no statements at all.

That's probably likely, but if my child is "missing" and especially if I'm afraid he could harm himself, I'm going to be all over trying to get him back. No matter what may have happened, I'd want my child alive.

Did he lawyer up before or after her parents filed the missing persons report?

If before, I'll admit it's suspicious.

If after, anyone who is smart would lawyer up if they are the last known person to have seen someone who disappeared.

lol... so you won't admit suspiciousness if after?

well obviously he wouldn't know he's the last known person to have seen her had he not murdered her. But he knew this because he murdered her.

Lawyering up before any innocent person would have reason to believe this was a criminal case is very suspicious.

Lawyering up after it became a potential criminal case is just being smart with your rights.

I'm sorry if you have a problem with people exercising their right to counsel.

Edit: I don't have the timeline down. Those people who are knowledgeable about the case: When did BL hire his lawyer, before or after the parents filed the missing persons report?

I wouldn’t be surprised if this were true. I’d bet he either ate a bullet in the swamp or a gator got him.

Do you believe his parents gave him a stamp of approval to off himself?
