Aliens have been brought up a few times in this thread. Have we ruled out aliens in the van?

I’m still not convinced the door was closing
Seriously go rewatch it again and don’t hyper focus on the black line
It clearly disappeared. The only way this happened is because one door was wide open and then abruptly closed.

Is sitting in a van privacy
Your quoting my comment so I’m replying to you.
Yes it’s mere privacy because the way the van is parked he could have left the door OPEN and you still could not have seen inside the van.
But he closed it entirely.
Have you ever been camping???
Ever wanted to make your campground look unattended like no one is home??
That’s exactly what Brian Laundrie was doing and he was CAUGHT ON VIDEO RED HANDED doing it!?!?!
The odds of that are ASTOUNDING

BL does not want TO BE SEEN AT ALL..so he climbs in and closes the door to give the appearance that the campsite is unattended.
Thats the thing. Most campers want to get a look at who is passing, give a wave, chat if theres an opportunity, and show their stuff isnt abanded, in case someone is prowling around looking for trouble
Hiding out as someone passes is suspicious as hell. Especially of youre trying to establish an online presence

They were the aliens. Keep up.
Yeah... I think I'm way too late to catch up here

It was a full campsite and everyone records everything now. I would be surprised if I reviewed personal footage and happened to see the most famous white van in the country there. I don’t think closing a door is proof of anything. We don’t even know if she was dead then.

I believe that door was closed. Yes. I just disagree with you when you say he could have had privacy with the door open. I dm bet that those Bethune people would have stopped if the door was open.

Crazy that someone might want to close their door and it happened on camera. Just absolutely nuts. fricking bonkers I tell ya.

Have we ruled out the possibility that he bolted for the Burning Man Festival? It ended September 7th.

I have friends with a camper and when they go camping they don't spend every second of the day outside. I've been camping with them and the people who camp around us you see twice over a weekend. Once, when they show up and get the camper situated and once when they leave. That's it. It's not weird or nefarious.

Chicken suggested we let the dead lesbians lie.

I’ve rewatched it a bunch and I looks like it’s closing when zoomed in and slowed down but I also think that could be the water drop or whatever that’s distorting the video at regular speed.

After watching the cops body cam that girl is bat shite crazy. She should have spent the night in jail by Arches National Park. If it was him who attacked her that day, I can promise you he was sitting in jail.
She didn't deserve to die though. I can see her being hysterical while he is all calm. My wife will cry at the drop of the hat during arguments. I couldn't imagine being in a van that long with someone else without having arguments and issues. He should have put her on a plane in Salt Lake City to go back to Florida while he finished his trip.
I could see her committing suicide but I can also see how he just lost it and offed her.

This has to be a troll at this point, right?

Yes simply implying getting in the van and closing the door is somehow nefarious is comical
Cool. That’s not what I said thou.
I said him slipping into the van out of view of an approaching RV vehicle was INDICATIVE of when he killed her because of the sneakiness on which it occurs and yet she is not seen or suspected there. It’s indicative that she is already lying 300 meters up the line of trees behind the van.
That’s my point glad you found it “comical”.

It’s a weird set of events because I believe if he had her dead body in the van at any point, the cops can find evidence of it. IF they haven’t, then I’m going to continue with my speculation that she was never dead in the van.
This came up in the Casey Anthony trial (also in central Florida). From what I remember, it was critical to prove that her dead baby was in the trunk of her car. The police introduced evidence that a cadaver dog alerted on the trunk and a subsequent forensic chemical test indicated the presence of decomposition bacteria. But the defense attys attacked this evidence and Casey was ultimately acquitted. I don't know to what degree that undermines the usefulness of such forensics, only that it was a critical part of a case the prosecution lost. Of course we certainly wouldn't say DNA is worthless just because OJ was acquitted.
But in the case of "cadaver evidence" I would have to think time is a critical factor. How long was the body in the van after immediate death? And how long until removal of the body and when the van was tested?
quote:
That’s just seems weird that he’s have a full shovel while hiking: He may have some little garden shovel on a normal trip, but not the size that would be required to bury an adult body.
Do we know if she was buried? I said very early in this case the police should be focusing in on any store that sells shovels within a 50 mile radius of Grand Teton. It's not like there are a bunch of Home Depots out there. IT's a very remote place and there can't be that many stores that sell shovels. And they wouldn't have one in that little van where space was a premium.

By the way, may I be the first to ask whether a shapeshifter from the Skinwalker Ranch may be involved in some way? They were in Utah a fair amount of time after all. I mean, everyone on this thread is just throwing shite against the wall, may as well throw that too.
Not to brag or anything, but when it ends up being the skinwalker I would hope the FBI would at least acknowledge it may have started here.

Or it could have just been indicative of a person wanting to close the door.

Thinking a closing door is indicative of murder is pretty comical.
