If he appeared to Red to be as drunk as the police thought he was, he could have underestimated his foe and thought he had any easy meal ticket.

There are quote on the paper that are from the NOPD reports, not simply the hearsay from his family.

If I'm not mistaken, this will still need to go to a grand jury for an indictment. At the moment there is just probable charge the arrest.
