Not taking it as absolute truth but at this point I believe this person more than Red’s family. I don’t know how much it helps unless he has any evidence it was a mugging though.

Hard to believe a frail, 60 year old unarmed diabetic, who is a regular in the area would try and mug a 6’2 225 lb guy.

Especially if he was unarmed. You'd figure that would have come out in the original story if he was armed.
