They want horse’s to search South of Cocodrie and Cypremort Point.

Horses don’t do well on the marsh’s of Terrebonne Parish.

I really need anyone willing to use their HORSES down in the Cocodrie area as well cypremort point area. We have barges that can transport them across waters. Need horses on some of these island to make easier to get around and get through areas not accessible by men on foot. Thank you! Please let me know, or reach out to Christifer DeRouen for further details if you’re able to help assist with horses.

I applaud the efforts these guys are making, but at some point you have to call it. It's been 23 days. The chances of finding anything outside of some tidal trash is slim.

The guy Ronnie from swamp people is a whole mess unto himself.

I've never much cared for him, at least as far as the show goes.

He seems to be more concerned with the getting on Facebook live and talking for views more than anything else. The constant "my baaabays" and spitting during the middle of his sentences is a weird glitch in his speech. Just my assessment, which could very well be wrong.

I don’t think they’re gonna be too successful around Cypremort Point either. Seems like airboats would be better.

From what I’m hearing it won’t be long. It’s a sub sea mess right now.

Yeah, everything other word is “guys” or “ma bebes”
The other guy on FB live spends most of the time cussing and talking about how he will frick you up if you do him wrong.

I sure hope these parents and wives find some type of closure

1 month ago, today, the Seacor Power capsized.

Doesn't it seem much longer ago? There is a time dilation effect since the beginning of COVID, or at least I'm experiencing the passage of time much differently than just a year ago.

Regardless - RIP to those lost and hope the families (particularly of the missing/presumed dead) are finding support and closure.

U.S. Coast Guard Public Affairs Officer Cory Mindenhall told the television station that a lifeguard in Port Aransas found a hardhat with the last name “Daspit” on a beach. Port Aransas is nearly 600 miles from the capsized ship.

There is a story of the first mate that was rescued. It is on Nola.com behind a paywall.

You can read it on the Nola.com app. The app nor the site allow me to cut and paste Sorry. Can someone help please?

Seriously, some of them cost around $400 and can be bought on Amazon. That should be the minimum mandatory. Has this ever been proposed, officially, and has it gotten push-back from boat owners and companies?

From the survivor’s account it doesn’t seem like this would’ve helped if they aren’t working in the first place.

That's probably going to end up being another issue in the eventual lawsuits. According to the article, the Coast Guard requires all vessels to have a working EPIRB. I guess it could have failed in the extreme conditions, but it likely shouldn't have.

The vessel should have had one EPIRB, this guy is advocating for each individual to also carry a smaller individual EPIRB, which may or may not be a good idea. I certainly think it is a good one.
