I thought the USCG said all 12 remaining were in the boat.

If that’s true I wonder if a fisherman found him. Unless they were searching that far away.

Me too. That’s why I’m trying to get more info. But the Dauphine found it during the search. I’m hoping they are wrong and it’s info from yesterday.

I believe one of the survivors said they believed that to be the case, so most of the search was concentrated to the ship. I don’t believe this could be 100% confirmed unless they had 12 heat signatures or everyone was found.

USCG SAR aircraft found him. It wasn’t a fisherman or boat.

Gotcha. I did read that they were going to continue sea and air search operations through the night. They only suspended the diving ops.

they are searching a pretty wide area east/west and south. If it's like I saw once, (navy not USCG) they drop buoys at the location to give them real time current, tide and wind drift effects.

Good reason to have float strobes tied to your life jackets while offshore fishing.

Our local news fwiw said they'd searched an area the size of I think Hawaii.

So, the 5 guys spotted Tuesday night - (it was reported) 2 were rescued, 2 reported they were going back in the hull and 1 went into the open water.

Doesn't necessarily spell catastrophe for the crew still in the hull.

Same here. So I would think there are at least two people still alive in the boat?

Yea, that too. Never poke your nose out of the pass without an eprib, float strobes on the life vests.

I'm trying to figure out a way to rig my life jackets where they are out of the way but will float out from under the hull if if flips. Haven't figured that one out yet.
