It’s really a sign of laziness. I’ve got a lazy son-in-law who hasn’t shaved his face in 5 years but the idiot did admit he shaves that crotch with regularity.

Agreed.
I keep stubble most of the time because I can't manage to shave every day, but when I see a long beard my initial reaction is not good.

Beards are disgusting. Sorry. Clean shaven unless the job calls for the beard.

Beards only went out of fashion because the Germans used chemical weapons in WW1 and the military banned beards as they kept gas masks from getting a good seal.

The trick is to line yourself up regularly to keep the beard looking good. I'm also not a fan of the thick long, James Harden style beards. But at the same time, I will absolutely never go clean shaven. I haven't had a fully clean face probably since I was 15. Too many people just grow long beards without any type of maintenance, that is the homeless look.
Personally, my go-to is the goatee with the chinstrap.

Why would your hair stink? Do you not shower? Do you not shower, wash your face, etc? Not to mention they have beard wash and oils to keep it looking healthy and fresh.
