Don't worry, Lafayette baws. Y'all enjoy your Dave & Busters since that's all the hype right now.

Did you move from NOLA? That would explain your opinion. If you move from the Northwest to DFW I can promise you it’s a concrete jungle shithole in comparison. Moving from BR made it seem like Atlantis.

I did live in Nola at the time this account was created but I have spent time in all areas of the country. I think you said something abt living in NW Arkansas and I have nothing bad to say abt that!

Yeah, we just moved here. One thing I think I’m neglecting in this conversation is the frothy job market for white collar workers. Dallas is elite. Not so much here in comparison that’s the trade off.

Went to Grapevine this past weekend and I just fall in love with that town every time I visit. It’s like a small town tucked away in a big city. Tons of stuff to do and nice.

You can see an example of this in Frisco over the last 20 to 25 years.

I think the area for theme park was part of Bert Fields estate who died without any known heirs. If not in this land it is at least near it. It’s been several years and can’t remember for sure if Fields is who I heard about back then, but the city was involved in getting approval for one of the Hunts buying the land from the estate.

quote:

The Fields property is also full of character. It has topography, creek corridors, 150-foot elevation changes and visibility for miles.

"It's some of the most beautiful property in all of North Texas," Cheney said

In reality Cheney got erect thinking of increased number of houses his real estate agency staffed with mostly MILFs could sell (along with other enrichments from builders one way or the other). Don’t remember a theme park being part of original idea. At least a large golf course and plans conceding some other greenery will keep a little green. Even dying will not stop the development machine in Frisco. I don’t know if they ever found heir for estate.

Older pic of area from when either Fields died or ruling approved the selling of his land.

Between this & heirs of Brinkers and Lawlers selling or developing a lot of their land the best part about Apple Maps being so bad and slow to update is getting to see more of this land in its undeveloped state than the reality of what you see driving through it.

I’m sure my property value will be going up in Frisco, but good God I can’t wait to move from this place. Traffic is already bad enough before adding PGA headquarters and now this Universal BS. Just need to get my kid out of school.

He and his wife used to run Frisco-Online, a site that had one of the most toxic message boards around. This was 20 years ago but it made NextDoor discussions look sophisticated. He was Collin/Denton County’s version of Chicken.

Park Cities isn't Dallas though. That's the best part.

HPPD keeps all the crap out.

They asked Dallas a century ago, and Dallas initially said no before it tried to force it.
