Sure, but United didn't do that.

One spokeswoman out of several they have on the story vs United's official news release. I'm not defending United, but I will go with what their company is posting on their website as the official policy they used.
At least 2 spokesmen plus the CEO.

Their quotes are across multiple sites. Unless you think there's some conspiracy by a bunch of websites across America to misquote 2 spokesmen and the CEO of United, then you just gotta consider takin the L on this one.

What does oversold defined as? = based off available seats
At the prescribed check in time, which logically and arguably based on the Contract, is well before everyone is on the plane.

Again, you're acting like something is fact when you don't know that it is 100% fact.

Your link never clearly said it was an oversold situation.

Fwiw, the day it happened UA was saying that, but they've backtracked since.

You aren't that ignorant are you? If United calls security to have someone removed from a flight, they did it whether it was them physically doing it or not.

They just called the police and claimed he was being unruly (he wasn't).

Do you think there's typically penalties for calling the police under false pretenses?

Ok troll.

Let me help you out here...

The crew selected four passengers at random who would be compelled to disembark, and when one of them refused to leave his seat, the airline summoned Chicago Department of Aviation security officers who wrestled and dragged the man, screaming and bleeding, out of the cabin.

Actually it is. United didn't call the police to talk to the guy, United called them to physically remove him from the plane. Why else were the police there? To just talk to the guy? No. United called because he wasn't listening so they needed someone to physically remove him.

The police didn't escalate a situation, it was already at a point where they were there to remove him. It's not like the police had a choice to simply walk away.

Do you honestly think the police had a choice to do something else? That's laughable if so. The only one that had a choice was United, and they opted out. Therefore the majority of the liability is on them.

No, they didn't. They called them to remove him from the plane. It was his choice to be removed physically.

quote:

Why else were the police there? To just talk to the guy?

They were there to get him off the plane. If talking would have worked, he wouldn't have been physically removed.

quote:

The police didn't escalate a situation, it was already at a point where they were there to remove him. It's not like the police had a choice to simply walk away.

They didn't need to have that choice. The doctor made that choice several times.

Did I say that they did?

Completely wrong.

Carry on. You've upped the troll game today. 9/10. Almost there.

Your problem is that you don't know the defintion of words
quote:

unruly - stubborn resistance to guidance or control; resistance to attempts to manage; determined resistance to or defiance of authority; an obstinate determination to have one's own way

The man was clearly being unruly. UA had established rules and policies, and after being informed of them, the man refused to comply. Police were then called.

If you tell a police officer "no" after him asking to search your house without a warrant, are you being unruly?

What if he asks for your car keys, and for you to sign over to him the title for your car? Unruly?
