United is telling us the flight was not oversold, and you're arguing against UA,

You do get that the crew of 4 didn't BUY their tickets, right? The UA spokesperson is only speaking to tickets SOLD.

Once the crew required 4 tickets, those seats aren't considered SOLD. They are just no longer available

Why? Now we are getting somewhere. What would they need a crew moved for?

Measure your response.

Weather forced them to miss their connector. Another crew flew that one. But they still had to get there ASAP to meet DOT pre-flight requirements for a leg that now had no crew

The next leg was the following morning in Louisville. And even in such a case they should offer proper compensation which they did not

Earlier you claimed several times you don't respond to stupid questions. So either you lied, again, or the questions weren't stupid. Which is it?

Neither. That isn't what I said.

hmmm, I guess they are saying it was an oversold situation after all.

Them saying they're going to review it means they're saying it was over sold? Despite an actual quote from a UA spokesperson saying it was not oversold? You really want to stick with that defense?
quote:

Direct link to United? Because I've seen the terms used both ways in titles and articles in the media, and we know they get things wrong. What term did United use?
Both:

The United Flight Was Not Overbooked, CEO Admits

“The flight was not oversold,” United spokeswoman Maddie King said Tuesday.

Like usual, he didn't know WTF he was talking about, yet still felt like acting otherwise

I have no clue what you're talking about, i'm probably barging in on a debate you were having with another poster.

Nonetheless, UA has said the flight was not overbooked, and they've also said the flight was not oversold.

The "oversold" policy specifically talks about purchased tickets.

So if it wasn't the oversold policy, what policy was he removed for? Can you show me?

Really?

Your yahoo story literally states both overbooked in the title and oversold in the article and statement. They do not state the difference in the article. Again, directly from United, not some media outlet that mixes words, as you and others have.

Yet, I provide something directly from United stating they will review their oversold policies. Why would they waste their time reviewing their oversold policies if this isn't an oversold situation?

So you're just going to deny literal quotes from United, that you can find on the internet on multiple sites?

Ok, good talks!!!!

Again, directly from United
Like a quote? From a named person with United? Nah, that's not enough.

Perhaps the crew thought it was an oversold situation but maybe it wasn't. Tada, now they decide to review their policy. Not that difficult, that's a horrible, horrible logic leap you're making...it's basically illogical.

One spokeswoman out of several they have on the story vs United's official news release. I'm not defending United, but I will go with what their company is posting on their website as the official policy they used.

Multiple internet sites that use one site's story, sun-times. But don't look at citations and claim they are all original articles.

What does oversold defined as? = based off available seats. There weren't enough available seats with 4 must rides having ultimate priority over everyone, 4 people must get off. Hence, oversold and why United used that term.
