Just stumbled across this on Youtube. I had to laugh at the irony.
1990 United "come fly the friendly skies" commercial

And this is A GOOD THING???
How would YOU FEEL??? They say they have to get YOU off the plane to make sure their CREW gets where they need to be......

I know one thing. No one would tell me to get off. And I would love for them to try to get me off.

But carry on, you could not be more wrong.
I'm still correct. Your opinion doesn't change that.

was it UAL employees, or did they simply report a passenger non-compliance?
They called in the boys from Chicago. The interesting part is that their call is probably recorded. What they said in this call is important since Dr. Tempura was quiet and reportedly almost docile.
If only United had owned more than one plane and was able to fly their crew to where they so desperately needed them.

That's NOT the point........
AGAIN.. if I paid for A ticket and have MY seat... I am NOT getting off the plane just because United has A CREW problem.... That's on them... Why should I have to suffer for THEIR problem?????

I'd care way more about this if it were PJ they drug off the plane. Can someone make a gif and replace the japs face with PJs?

OK... I am in the wrong hood here... I don't fly... So whatever..... Just seems wrong that because UNITED scrwed up by not having a plane to get the crew ready for the next stop should NOT have to involve passangers already on the plane that tickets that were paid for.......

Do you even read the terms and conditions when you purchase your tickets?

Yes you are. It's your choice how that happens, but it will happen.

That's on them. Changes nothing that I've said.

Geraldo just said United's actions were egregious so everything you said is now wrong.

Nonsense. I offered my opinion that it's their airline.
Amongst many other things, yea sure.

That's black and white. I don't care what y'all believe and I've made that quite clear.
As is evidenced by the multitude of posts you have already made and are continuing to make to tell people they are wrong, when it isn't definite that they are.
quote:
No, they don't. If you sit around posting and gnawing your fingers off, that's your business. Not all of us have that attachment to this stuff.
A quick look at your post history shows 28 posts from you in this thread, and about 100 posts in yesterday's threads about this topic. But please, keep telling us how you don't really care about this topic.

Link that.
You've made 130 posts in less than 2 days about the topic. Link yourself.

Because it makes sense financially. Being right has nothing to do with it.
It made sense financially to handle this situation in a multitude of other ways instead of the way they chose to. It made sense financially for the CEO to not place the blame on the passenger. Since when does United care about what makes sense financially?

K. Ask better questions.
I'm perfectly happy with the questions I am asking and have asked. I have noticed you continue to display an astute ability to not answer them. So maybe you should try your hand at answering the easier stuff I'm putting out there before moving on to the "better questions."

YOU are missing the point.... Why should ANY passenger suffer because UNITED screwed up and could not get their people where they need to be???
