maybe since they mention that he wasn’t logging his trail name but calling himself “denim” and has ties to BR— he was actually calling himself “Denham” ...

The name DENIM was given to him because he wore jeans while hiking when he started (a rookie mistake) ... but i really like the way your brain works.

He definitely looks like a Louisiana person of French ancestry. probably why everybody thinks he looks familiar. The fact that nobody has come forward leads me to believe he has led a very low profile life and has been estranged from his family for many years.

That would have made him 32 at the time of those pictures. That seems way too young. Guy looks at least 35.

According to this, Jeffrey's mom got killed in a car accident and Jeffery was living in Billings, Montana for a while.
