This is going to turn into the Idaho murder thread all over again. It hasn’t even been a few days, and we are amazed that he hasn’t been caught or info hasn’t been released. Who knows what the authorities know?
Closest I can think of is the Boston Marathon bombing as far as a crime busted opened by cameras.

Exactly. I was watching a clip of the hosts stating it was same jacket and backpack. And I was confused because both were different.

Yes. That is the killer a few days before the murder while staying at a hostel on the Upper Westside. He checked into the hostel on Nov 24 and paid in cash, using a fake ID from New Jersey. He got there by Greyhound bus via Atlanta. He wore a hoodie and mask everyday around the hostel except for that one photo, when the chick at the front desk asked him to lower is mask so she could see his face.
After the murder, he ditched his backpack somewhere near or in Central Park and never returned to the hostel
