That's not even it. Those companies being the largest shareholders have enough pull to get him replaced if they really wanted to. To think they'd risk offing him on a public street in NYC is just kind of silly.
Ask yourself why MSM is silent about this hit? This was done so he didn’t even consider turning….
Who’s the money behind big Pharma? Why was ObamaCare shoved down our throats? Follow the money

Every single insurance entity, both private and govt, denies certain claims.
Are the people on this board advocating for the murder of, for example, the Louisiana Medicaid director? Medicaid, like private insurance, will deny claims at times.

Sure seems like it.

I guarantee you that BC BS will reverse their morally evil anesthesia policy by the end of the week. I guarantee it.

There can be a big difference between fully-insured and self-insured arrangements. A lot of mid-size and large employers self-insure.
What some perceive as an evil insurance company denying coverage may actually be an employer mandate to said insurance company.
An employer who self-insures their employees can have a lot of control over setting limits on what is covered and what is not.

They are denying the provider payment, not the patient coverage.

You're going to make heads explode with this one. They don't understand the difference between an authorization denial and a claim denial and now you introduce this?

This
They are essentially just capping what they will pay for anesthesia for whatever procedure and providers will just have to eat it
No different than just telling a primary care doc you now get $75 for a visit instead of $100
Patients wont have to pay more

But do we really want providers rushing through surgery like they are driving down the interstate with the runs?

They won't, they really can't. If a provider really could expedite their cases they would so they could turn more beds. They'll just find another way to upcode something else to off-set the reduction.

These standards exist for everything everywhere in Healthcare.

Or, like they do with some eye surgeries, they'll split the procedure into two encounters so they can get paid twice for one eye rather than once on both eyes.

If providers are already going as fast as they can, what's the purpose of Anthem BCBS capping anesthesia coverage based on a time table? Seems like the only answer left is "make more money"

I wouldn’t be surprised if it turns out someone he knows very well arranged for this, and that it has nothing to do with someone getting fricked over on their insurance coverage.

Their way to combat up-coding.
Ask any CRNA here how many times they work a case then then they add and MD to a chart that never set foot in the OR so they can be paid a higher rate.
It's not really a 1 to 1 causation but more of a constant battle between providers trying to maximize payment on every claim and a health plan trying to reduce costs. It's an evil game that catches patients in the middle.

The surgeon doesnt give a frick. His reimbursement doesnt change
Unless its a private surgical center where the surgeon gets a cut of anesthesia fees

Can I also note the major overlap between people celebrating targeted assassination of a health insurance exec and those who have defended terrorist groups like Hamas?
Wrong.
Hate Hamas.Kill them all.
Don't condone murder of slimy CEOs of predatory companies but I'm not shedding any tears either. Assassin should be caught and prosecuted. But I hope (doubt) it serves as a wakeup call to these slimy companies henchmen.

i don't know, the founding fathers were all aristocrats. I doubt any of them would support a slaver owner getting murdered
the closest thing any of them faced to this would be Lafayette fleeing France during the Jacobin reign of terror.

This is an instance where you think you're so much more informed than me, but really you're just simping for big healthcare.
