I dont want the government telling me how old my kid has to be before they can drink. Im the fricking parent. I decide when they are responsible enough to drink.

On a side note, the same people that want to cry about how immature and childish the current generation is then go off about underage drinking. Well, if you want your kid to act like an adult, treat them like an adult. You treat them like a child with participation trophies, ridiculous age standards, not making them work through highschool and paying for everything they ask for and youre going to get some irresponsible manchilds.

I've never understood the 21 year old drinking age. I am 44 now. I hated it at 18, but I had Louisiana and "the loophole" 20-25 mins away.

Are kids ready to drink at 18? Not really. Are they ready at 21? Not really. Especially if a 21 year old stuck to the letter of the law (who among us actually did that) and waited til 21. At 21 they'd lose their minds.

If the government says you're old enough to be trained to kill and die for your country then it should say you're old enough to buy and consume alcohol.

It a gimmick dude. Rum and pineapple in a night crawler container with a gummy worm.

My wife and I both credit our early partying at 13-18 as the reason we never "cut loose" at 18-28 and went to jail, fricked up our careers, etc.

Ive always been a big proponent of letting kids have their fun at an early age while theyre still teens and get out their system at a time when they just get a slap on the wrist and a ride home to mom and dad lest they end up fricking up their lives by getting a criminal record at 18+. Also think one should condone the drinking and whatnot in the safety and controlled environment of their home if they show interest otherwise they go out on the street and get into REAL trouble outside of your control.
