News organizations who have been around for a long time and who have been recognized by their industry as outstanding performers are typically safe bets. You don't hang around that long and become that successful without some sense of journalistic integrity.

CNN fits that criteria and could not be more biased.

Wall Street journal is the best in the game as far as staying moderate and just reporting the news

There are none. All of them have a slant and some way more than others.

I haven't watched CNN in ages...too much "what does this random Twitter user think?!" bullshite. Their website, which is certainly more news focused than entertainment focused, is a relatively down-the-middle source.

One of the big issues with unbiased political news reporting is that politics itself is so incredibly convoluted. Who knows what the truth is. Neither party is trustworthy. All these leaks are planned for fulfillment of a specific agenda. I often feel like the news is orchestrated to blend into these political agendas. I think the Pravda of old would be envious.

If you want unbiased stories, check out Mr. Rodgers Neighborhood in PBS. Otherwise, every news channel is biased.

There are more biased liberal sites (HuffPo and Slate, for example).

Fox News isn't that bad, but Fox and Friends is pure propaganda.

Relatively unbiased sources are hard to find. Supposedly /r/news is actually pretty good. BBC and (surprisingly) Al-Jazeera give pretty good coverage of world news. Keep in mind of course that both have their own internal agendas that just don't involve catering to US audiences. For example, RT.com caters to the Russian market but to US viewers it isn't unreasonable.

Wall Street Journal in general
fivethirtyeight for analysis and statistics
morning brew for brief financial news every day
But you definitely need to know how to separate bullshite from truth on your own

Yes, foreign news sources are far superior to US sources. The Economist is probably my favorite go to.

This right here. If you're only listening to stuff that makes you feel good then you're a sheep being led to slaughter.

The Wall Street journal is very fair as far as the big papers go.

News has become awful. It’s all about trying to convince people how to think.

Healthnutnews.com isn’t great but they have lots of stories no one else picks up.

Reuters and NPR for me.

I can't speak to Reuters but NPR went off the rails a while ago. They were my news source from about 1985 to 2010. They had been drifting left but when Obama was elected, NPR might as well have been part of the administration. The press is supposed to be watchdogs but NPR was never going to question anything that the Obama administration did. Pathetic really.

Now - news is so terribly done that I mostly don't have a source at all. When I travel I get free Wall Street Journals pretty often and they are the best source I know of. If I get a free NYT I'll read it too. If the story isn't political the NYT can be pretty good. But the NYT increasingly sees politics in everything so it's becoming less of an option.

Ultimately I don't much care; there is nothing wrong with life without The News. Especially now.

They can't even see the rails now! I use to listen to them on the commute, but they have gotten unbearable. EVERY morning, every morning, they would have a story demonizing white men, promoting gay stuff, or interviewing a Democrat politician. Amazing how fast it went from almost unbiased to far left.
