But nobody is laughing with you because everybody outside of the crap town of Ruston hates tech or feels indifferent about them if they haven’t had to deal with them.

Bruno was a good guy and really cared about the academic aspect of ULM. The med school will be helpful for ULM's image (whether or not the facility is a ULM program or not).

However, Bruno doesn't have any ambitions to strengthen athletics. Hopefully, they get someone in that cares about athletics and ULM being competitive again.

Bruno is the one that messed up and never objected to ULL claiming to be U of L. Other than that, I think he did a good job.

Yes, the three universities in Northeast and North Central Louisiana should be merged, however, that would create a school large enough to start semi-competing with LSU in athletics.

Ya, unfortunately that falls under that nice guy concept... he was nice but being a push over came along with it.

It seems like every school, big and small, have very localized and out of touch views of their successes.

"We have a great pharmacy school"

"Uh, it's like 4th tier"

I'm not picking on ULM, I'm confident the same is true for programs at LSU, Auburn, etc.

The only program worth keeping is their Pharmacy school, which is legit.

I'd argue the best program at ULM is actually their construction management, which is looked upon far better than the Pharmacy, RadTech, and Nursing outside of NeLA.

Merging Tech, ULM, and LSUS is best for the I20 corridor and state as a whole. Eradicate redundant programs and have Monroe and Shreveport campuses be specialized environments for particular schools. I.E. pharmacy, nursing, biomedical housed in Shreveport. Could use some of the now empty space to house associates degree classes, or even a Laboratory school like UHigh for the Northern part of the state. Like it or not Higher Ed in the state needs to be consolidated and reformed for both the sake of the budget and the overall health of higher learning in the state.
