Love what he did for the university academically and perception wise. Hopefully we get someone in that can lay off of athletics some and let the AD do his job.

Hopefully they merge with Tech

I’m not sure either side really wants that. Obviously ULM doesn’t but there doesn’t seem to be much support for it from tech folk either. Not that I’ve seen anyway.

It’s really for the best however.
No need for 3, 4 year colleges to be within 30 miles of each other in North East LA

Regardless of what’s best there’s no chance of it happening

I find this a bit peculiar since he is retiring right before the opening of the medical school. Seems like that would be a pretty big deal...and worth waiting a little bit longer to be a part of. Oh well....I always like President Bruno. A good man. I wish him well.

The medical school is leasing space on campus, it doesn’t actually fall under ULM.

He was pretty integral in bringing it to Monroe though. I’m sure there’s a reason for it though

What has he done?
Have lived in New Orleans for over 30 years and don’t know anything about ULM other than they changed names and mascots and they have a pharmacy school

Rented space to an unaffiliated Osteopathic Medical School so people could say that ULM has a medical school.

Probably the only way to make it happen

What the frack are you smoking Pedro?!?! He’s retiring cause ULM is a sinking ship. Monroe campus needs to be merged into Tech. The only program worth keeping is their Pharmacy school, which is legit. Hit delete on all the rest! “Academics & Perception”...wow, just wow.

I’m not gonna waste my time arguing with you.
He’s 68 and has been in education for over 40 years. But yea he’s retiring because the campus is failing.

pharmacy program is legit
No it's not. It's shitty on the national level. Just like Xavier. Shithole pharmacy schools.

Good man, hate to see him go.
He really supported several programs which are among the tops in the nation: Nursing and Pharmacy to name two. Gonna miss him.

Typical tech douche. You take out engineering and tech is ULM. And while overall tech has a higher rating, ULM has several programs that are highly ranked and superior to their tech counterpart. Newsflash y’all aren’t LSU academically or athletically and you never will be. You have more in common with ULM and ULL than you ever will with LSU. Give it up
