I think the difference is the manner in which the Nazis went about with Hitler’s genocide. The others, men like Mao, Stalin, and Pol Pot killed as many and even more than the Nazis. But they did it with a combination of bullets and starvation; a much more crude method to be sure, but just as terrible.
But what sets the Nazi genocide apart was the organized and methodical, downright bureaucratic manner in which it was conducted.

The fact that my comment about Hitler being a moron addicted to drugs was deleted from this thread is highly troubling.

The ultimate edge lord play right now is denying the holocaust happened but saying that it should have, which I've seen like 3 times this week
Questioning historical consensus and laughing off all the establishment folks who get super uncomfortable about it has value and this is the time for it. But I'm definitely a little fatigued at how "race to the bottom" it is at the moment, even if I think very little of it really reflects the views of any sizable number of people.

The modern practice of trying to shoehorn the Nazi Party in Germany from the 1920s to 1940s into a “right-wing” or even “left-wing” political movement is a gross oversimplification of what they really were. The truth is the Nazis took aspects of what can be considered both left and right and meshed them together in their own evil and warped worldview. There was nothing like them before they came into being and nothing like them has arisen since they were crushed for good in 1945.

.. which is nothing more than meth, was widely available at just about any German pharmacy during that time and widely distributed throughout the Wehrmacht, especially early in the war.

But that was a unironic talking point and a hallmark of the PT during the first trump admin. That having "socialist" in the Nazi party name was proof positive that it was a far left party.
