Not without a PHD. Trying to prove or support a priori anything in human psychology is a next to impossible. 7 years for a PHD is not unusual in his area. Btw, he is a arrogant, douchbag student that believes his doctoral prep makes him intellectually superior to almost everyone. I have seen it before with other PHDc candidates.
