It's interesting when someone of a conservative mindset employs very mild shock-jock tactics to express political opinions on a radio show that it's creating a "culture war" yet they give Michael Moore Academy Awards for far more insulting work.
Rush had an opinion certain people didn't like. I have yet to see any evidence of this mocking AIDs segment or any context given to it. The only thing I've seen is a statement of apology and regret from Limbaugh that I have no evidence he even wrote. Nevertheless I'm having to listen to a litany of scumbags, addicts, pedophiles and the clowns who praise them preach righteously about why they are wishing a man to rot in hell or rest in piss.
The minute you treat words and opinions as a problem, you've lost your own. Remember that.

So something he said close to 40 years ago is the best you hateful progs can prove, yet the things you and your ilk spout DAILY are just fine.
My point earlier stands: For sick people like you, there is no "disagreement", it is only "hate". And we all know what you want to do to those you hate. You have made it clear in this thread. It isn't just Rush you and your ilk are after.
The best thing that happened to me was leaving that party of yours and unplugging from the people I associated with that are still in it. To think I participated and encouraged that behavior at one point still makes me ill.

According to a friend of mine that works at UAB, she likely won't be fired. She has tenure which makes it difficult, and she brings in a lot of research money for her department because of her stature in her field.

Not so sure. There was a UAB TA a few years ago that was active on Discord and was a member of Identity Evropa, which I guess is a white supremacist group.

People can say what they want. I don't really care what anyone says about anyone. Dead or alive. I do find it strange that the same people that were calling for people to be banned for speaking ill of RBG (who affected millions and millions of people's lives through actual policy by being an activist from the bench) were the ones shitting on Trump's brother in his death and now again on Rush's grave. But when I point out the hypocrisy of that, I get chided for legitimizing "whataboutism". However, when the left does it, it is simply pointing out the hypocrisy of those people. It's an insane cycle where the standards are never the same.
