Sevier believes the Drag Queen Story Time violates the First Amendment Establishment Clause by failing the Lemon Test.
According to Sevier, to pass the test it must satisfy all three of these following requirements, 1. Serve a valid secular purpose, 2. No endorsing of a religion and 3. It can’t entangle government with religion.
Sevier says the event violates two of the requirements.
Adding that by having the event at the library, they are endorsing secular humanism.

This is getting ridiculous. The library is a public facility and the drag queens have just as much right to use it as anybody else. Do you really want the government involved in deciding what is an acceptable world view? Just dont have your kids go if you dont like it.

Lol, sounds familiar.

I'm not a fan of it but I believe that they have the right to have their event no matter how disgusting I find it.

LINK

It's Louisiana. There will probably be like 6 people who bring their kids to it.

Just push it back a few weeks and parents can tell their kids that’s what these guys are dressing up as, for Halloween. Problem solved.

I don't have a problem with drag queens reading to kids but they could have been more tactful with the books they are choosing to read:

Where the Wild Things Are
James and the Giant Peach
Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs

Progressives in 2008: We don't want to indoctrinate your kids! We just want acceptance! We aren't going to push our agenda this way. If you think so, you are a racist, sexist, xenophobic, homophobic phobic!

Progressives in 2018: How dare you protest our ability to go into schools and libraries dressed in drag to indoctrinate your kids!

Stop a church group from having an indoctrination event at a public library and there would be an uproar as well. This isnt progressives being upset that a private business doesn't cater to their madness. This is progressives upset that they are being challenged on their right to a public forum.

Are you ok with them having sex in public park bathrooms? Because that’s what they do

This. The founding fathers made separation of church and state so the government couldn’t tell churches what to do and the liberals have used it to persecute Christians

Put on a dress and go into a woman’s bathroom to stare at people that’s ok, but if you tell someone about Christ outside of a church you can get arrested

Don’t be obtuse. That is exactly what it is.

Scruffy says let them have their story time, but don’t act like they don’t have a motive.

Kind of like a seesaw if you are a board member with a fire under your seat.
If you say no as a board member you can get sued and have your a gay basher parade with Antifa showing up for no reason.
If you say yes then you get sued and have a smaller peaceful protest.
This is a no win on this hot seat topic for Library board members.

If the men dressed like women were not from the parish or my district. If I was a board member, I would say I look out for the wishes of the tax paying voting citizens of this parish, over people who do not legally vote along with not residing in this parish and my district. That would be my out to save my butt.

The best thing to do is not attend.
Have a library protest where people do not go for a month.
If you want to protest in a legal peaceful non antifa manner, go for it to show the board how upset you are.

The best thing is when a library tax comes up push hard for no votes to show your sides disapproval. Taking money away speaks volumes.

As stupid as I think this idea for the library is to do, people just need to ignore it. We are giving them the publicity they want. If you just did not give them the time of day and the only people that show up is HH and KB types, it would be the only time this event happens.

You people think we live in a dictatorship.

Let the mentally ill open up their own location to read books to children without using my tax dollars.
