so let me just break it down

Gay men want to read stories to children and to better relate they will dress up as the characters in the stories.

oh the horror. Gay men want to get involved in the community.

I predict our Attorney General will soon be all over this leading the charge. It'll probably get him a lot of votes when he runs for governor.

Why does it have to be about being gay? Do you think there are no gay men who read to children? Do they have to proclaim their gayness before doing any of this.

No, they're dressing as the opposite sex because they're gay, which is what this is about, not storytelling. That's just the platform.

And for some reason apparently unknown to either of us, it's a national effort in scope and organization. For "awareness?" Of .001% of the pop? To stop the waves of tranny bashing that we see on TV every day?

Rational people get roped into this on a micro level, because on that level, it really is as simple as you say. But it's part of a larger system of erosion. That's not a conspiracy theory. This is what they said they would do and now they're doing it.

you just cant logically link men dressing up as story book characters as child abuse. that's whataboutism.

and why are they doing it?

To normalize the behaviour in front of children, so that the next gen doesn't look at them the way others have.

Agree with there behaviour or not, this is the reason why.

Just like people who agree with it wouldnt be ok with people reading books about how homosexuality is a sin, there are people who have the right to say this isnt appropriate for children. This is an adult sexual behavior, that needs to stay out of the eyes of children.

For goodness sakes we have threads about when we should have the "birds and the bees" convo with kids, and people are ok with grown arse men dressed in drag acting like women, reading books to children in a library.

The next generation is going to be one f'd up confused society.

Whether we agree with it or not wasn't why i started the thread. I wouldn't want my kids to have that thrown at them at a young age unless it were organically. Nobody is forcing anybody to bring their children there. My stance that as a public, taxpayer funded venue if the group reserves a room and wants to put on this even they should be allowed. Same as if a fundamental Christian group wanted to rent the room to do their own brand of indoctrination. How involved in morality do you want the government? My issue with getting the government involved with everything is that sooner or later they are going to stick their dick in something that will piss me off. It's easy to want the gubbermint to get involved with something you agree with but sooner or later the pendulum might swing. This isnt a private business case like the Baker. The library is a publically funded facility, they as an entity should not be able to pick and choose who they serve due to sexuality, race, etc
