Tiger plaza really started going to shite around Katrina.

Before that it was just normal poor college kids.

It should be students living back there but it's definitely kind of become a mini Gardere. It's sad.

The shooter(s) are upset about St. George.

Bulldozer? Heck no. Drop a small nuke on there and clear the land and the gene pool at the same time.

Stop being an a-hole.

Napalm is much better on the environment and we could build new apartments faster afterwards.

Those apartment complexes just need to go away, period. They may have been sketchy before Katrina but now they are full fledged hood

St George should annex the land and make that their downtown.

At least the TPOS didn't kill anyone at Gaslite VI. Not as first class as El Cid, but right up there.

Walking home that way after a night of tigerland showed me that white privilege doesn't exist

Scary stuff these days. This was unheard of when I hung around near there back in the day. Resident heard 15 shots!?

I looked up female victim on FB. The 1st match that pops up definitely appears to be 37. The 2nd one popped up was definitely too young, but she has the ultimate travel ball kids' names in her profile.

If I had to guess? Drug deal gone bad. Why are 30 somethings living in Tigerland?

Senseless nonetheless.

The only white faces you see near the apartment complexes in tigerland are the fat tatted up white girls trying to hold on to baby daddy as long as they can, and even those are rare. There really isn't much difference between that area and gardere now.

It’s time to demolish a lot of apartment complexes in that area.

It's amazing at how numb we have become to this violence.

Hearing the same stories repeatedly and knowing that the city and PD will do nothing about it has that effect.

Well, possibly not nothing. They may set up a special taxing district for “community policing” in the hood which shows no effects.

Is this really surprising considering the area that surrounds Tigerland? It should all be bulldozed and start over

Is the problem the buildings or the occupants? Doesn't seem like destroying buildings without the occupants in them does much of anything but move the problem around.

I think that is why some people are suggesting bulldozing the buildings AND the occupants.

It might relocate them to Gardere which has been gone for awhile. There aren't a lot of other section 8 slums right around Tigerland.
