There is nothing "super ghetto" in BSL. There are a couple of residential streets I wouldn't want to walk down at night by myself but if you think that is "super ghetto" you have never been to NOLA/BR/etc. We ride golf carts through the "super ghetto" all the time when heading downtown

Depends on if you count bay side park, and whether you apply ghetto to caucasians

What is going on with people?
Strange situation. Killer was seemingly a functioning member of society. She was a veterinarian in Mobile. At A Motel 6 in Bay St Louis with a kid in the car at 4:30 in the morning.

Meth I guess? Aweful

According to the story on Heavy.com about the shooter, it will be interesting to find out why she did it. Her 10 year old daughter was in the car with her when she did it.

It is a very sad day on the Ms Gulf Coast. Two families have been devastated. I have several close friends that work for Bay PD and they are hurting today. Hancock Co is a small county and pretty much everyone knows everyone. These 2 officers were well liked, and they did the job the right way.

Before moving to the MS coast we stayed there a couple of times just getting out of BR for the weekend. Never felt unsafe whatsoever, even left fishing & beach gear in the back of the truck overnight. Definitely an isolated incident.

Looks like a feminist who doesn’t listen to males. Decent size chest she had.

What a shame. Sounds like they were trying to help her before she opened fire. Thoughts and prayers with your community

She was a veterinarian in mobile from what I gather. Vets have the highest rate of suicide amongst medical professionals. usually they get addicted to pills and just take themselves out due to all the stress and depression associated with the job. Terrible situation and I’m praying for those officers families and that poor little girl.

Crazy story. One thing I didn’t understand was did the cops shoot her or she shot herself?

Looks like she split vet time between Mobile and D'Iberville. She was a vet at my pets' clinic, but I don't remember ever seeing her there.

Sounds like she shot them from her vehicle then shot herself. Wish she would have shot herself first. The LE that we encountered in BSL were really great people.

From what I've read, there's some confusion about that right now as one of the cops was said to have gotten a shot off.

Local intel is that the police were there for a welfare check, child protective services were involved at some point and drugs were involved in that the female had a drug issue.

This is very odd for a veterinarian but they do commit suicide a lot. She’s a POS for doing what she did and not just to herself. Whole thing is terrible
