Both can easily pass off for being "high yellow".

My grandmother looked like this so did my great uncle's daughter & her children. When my great uncle was on his death bed in the early 90s, my cousin, who had moved out to California & I had never met personally, came back to Louisiana to be with him in his last days. When she knocked at our door, I was the one who looked out the window to see who was at the door. My dad asked who was there & I told him a white lady was at the door. I was embarrassed by my answer when I quickly found out who she really was.
