What law did they break? Not cooperating with a police investigation is not obstruction. All of the charges stem from after the cop infringed on their rights.

Without a warrant you are not required to leave your residence nor are you required to speak with police when in your house. There is no reason to believe there was an invitation for entry either considering the door was not open enough for entry of any person.

The usual standard in Oxford is someone goes outside and talks to the cops. Cop says "If I have to come out here again then I'm shutting it down and checking ID's and looking for anything illegal. Kids say "Yes sir" and then the music down. Problem solved.
I'm familiar with that system. Have seen it in work. It's effective and pretty pleasant for all involved. Seems like it would have been a great idea.

The stupid cops are lucky they aren't dead. At the very least they should be arrested for home invasion / assault / unlawful detainment and any other ridiculous charge that could be applied.

So exercising your constitutionally protected rights upheld in multiple supreme court rulings is now being disrespectful?
If someone is being courteous and acting within the law and their rights, that is the "respect they deserve."

They definitely deserve punishment for infringing on their rights.
Criminal punishment for excessive force and assault though is only able to be determined if there is justified reason to fear for their safety.
