Leaving for Providenciales Turks & Caicos today for a week. Any must do's? Good restaurant/bar recommendations?

It's one of the most beautiful beaches you will ever see. Sit there and drink till you can't see it anymore.

I loved it down there. Haven't been since my military days but it was beautiful. There were a few nude beaches that I can remember but don't remember a whole lot due to excessive alcohol consumption.

How come no one talked about this place until like 3 years ago?

Beaches don't just pop up out of nowhere...they take time to form.

Dive, fish, beach, snorkel, eat, bike, drink, PIIHB, there's a little casino near Provo, I don't know the particulars of it, I have only seen it from the outside.

Cost of advice: Pics of wife/female SO

Have fun!

It's been booming for over a decade. There is nothing there but a beach so people who can't just sit still and relax don't tend to like it.

Most beautiful beach and water in the world. You'll ride through the slums on your way to your resort but all worth it. Great place to relax or see some of the greatest coral reefs. Resort provided all watercraft including hobiecat which I recommend. You'll love this place.

My thread on the restaurants there from a few years ago

Another thread

ETA: hopefully you have reservations at several of the above already. Eat a few times at Caicos Cafe'. You probably needed reservations at Coco Bistro a month ago, but give it a shout. Fantastic setting.

Take the ferry to North Caicos. Rent a car and drive to Middle Caicos. Visit Mudjin Harbor there and photograch Dragon Cay (it does look like a dragon). If you're lucky you'll catch it at low tide and you can walk out to and explore the cay. Have a drink at the bar above Mudjin Harbor. On the way back have lunch at Daniel's. Get the fried fish special. If the catch is right that day you'll get fresh fried yellow tail snapper.

Go to Fish Fry on Thursday night and hang out and eat local food.

Do a snorkeling excursion and go conch diving. At the beach rinse the conch shell in the water and wade with the lemon sharks. They're harmless.

Eat dinner at Bay Bistro and if you were smart you already have reservations for Coco Bistro. Mango Reef Restaurant at the Alexandra Resort is also very good.

Enjoy!!

bullshite. There really aren't any slums on Providenciales. It's one of the cleanest and safest islands I've been on and I've been on most of them in the Caribbean.
