It's the OT. People like the idea of some dudes kicking the shite out of protester's as a general concept given what has been going on in Baton Rouge lately. If you dig down into it and figure out what a horrendous assault on civil rights it was in reality it kills the fun. This is pretty screwed up. Foreign security beating up American citizens on US soil. F'ing outrageous.
Turkey needs to issue an immediate apology. Metro DC candy cops need to do the same.
Hell, large contingent of the Turkish diplomatic corp needs to be sent home. Kill some foreign aid programs. Bring up the Armenia Genocide Bill again in Congress.

Do we even know what they were doing in this case? It's really hard to tell from the video, but I didn't see any physical instigation by the protesters.

Wow. Erdogan's security detail were out of control, rushing protestors after repeatedly being separated to another side of the street. We obviously don't know the full story but this short video shows multiple attempts by Turkish detail to escalate the situation again after they were separated.
Unfortunately, diplomatic immunity likely means they won't be arrested or prosecuted. It's not a good look for us that we "allowed" Erdogan's people to brutalize people here like they are accused of doing in Turkey.
