More and more people today want to be left alone. They want to enter their own world, whether in their home theater or video game system or social media. They want their groceries and meals and clothes delivered and dropped at their doorstep. They live either in apathy or fear of their neighbors. They seek outrageous headlines from slanted media outlets to justify their escalating seclusion. Their islands shrink and shrink while their depression and anger increase.

Well this happens when someone with a massive following says we are being hunted in the streets when it’s not even close to realty. Then white people are being killed getting gas, visiting sons grave, shopping retail, getting set on fire sitting on their porch, kids getting headshotted riding bikes, kids getting shot buying ice cream (this happened in new orkeans), grandma getting her armed ripped off and left to bleed out ( again New Orleans), get killed trying to sell your vehicle ( New Orleans).

Near the end of my stay there I held the door open for someone, they screamed in my face. That’s that Nola hospitality.

In years past, there was hardly a movie you could watch in the theater in the summer that was not at least 10% filled
I watched the original Jurrasic Park at the Esplanade Mall theater totally alone on a Wednesday morning 2 weeks after it opened. That's how I'd go see all of the movies I really wanted to watch back then. Didn't care for the noise and disruptions of a typical movie audience.

Yeah but I can see more fat Latina arse there.

When someone deliberately misreads the room to cast pearls before swine then a paycheck is involved.

This reminds me of my generation’s offspring who were raised on a diet of negative reinforcement and self esteem fluffing. The boring little dullards are absolute thirst bucket nerds with obscene Oedipal complexes.

Just here to report that recently me and the son had a great lunch at Devil Moon BBQ (I do object to the name however), visited the Aquarium, Insectarium and the Riverwalk, and had a great time with no problems whatsoever.

What a pleasure to the ears, though, to hear fellow Delgado alumnus, Doreen Ketchens, in front of the Quarter Rouses
She is great. Probably the best N.O. street performer and what I imagine is an example of times long past.

Day drinking in the quarter is one of life's great pleasures. The adventures you can get into are plentiful.

Try simplifying your posts more buddy. Not everyone wants to read 10 paragraphs on a single post.

What a display of intellectual enfeeblement. You can’t be bothered to read the equivalent of two 9th grade essays? Especially when the OP is attempting to provide commentary on the state of society and culture?

We’re regressing to the status of cavemen, but at least cavemen were attempting to progress forward.

Aspersions were probably justified.

For every Dr James Andrews, there’s a moron that still wants to lob piss balloons at Ole Miss frat stars.

And upon further consideration….
