Those assholes...
Hoda Kotb came to N.O. and almost instantly became one of the most loved people in the city. She got involved in everything, did a ton of charity work and truly became a New Orleanian. Mardi Gras, Jazz Fest, buying her own bottle of beer from the window at Ernest and standing on the sidewalk after work - she became a local.
It's sad that these kids only recognize her as a person sipping wine with Kathie Lee at 10 in the morning. The world could use a few more Hoda Kotbs.

Anyone graduate from LSU with me in spring 1993? Back then, LSU was protesting budget cuts, so they decided to make a political point by not having a big-time speaker at graduation. They literally got a preacher from down the road to do the commencement address. Years prior had Ronald Reagan and Margaret Thatcher, if I remember right. Sure, it felt like LSU didn't put in any effort into it, because they really didn't that year. But so what? We got our degrees and went home, celebrated with family. Which is what really matters.
Not one of these Tulane pricks would be able to tell you anything about what their commencement speaker said, 25 years from now... regardless of how inspirational he or she was.
Hoda should tell them, thanks, but no thanks.
It's shite like this.

Her current show definitely doesn't show who she is and where she came from. I get the hate for her show as I think it displays a lot of what is wrong with America, but she still is a woman to be admired. All those students would talk about dumb shite on tv like she does for the paycheck she gets now.

An Air Force General at undergrad commencement and Gov. Jimmy Davis for the next one. Both were surprisingly good. Wonder what the SJW crowd would do if faced with Davis as a speaker?
