Again, you have a lot to learn about severe weather warnings.

I’ve never gotten a shrieking warning when there wasn’t actually a storm happening near me, let alone a tornado.

Also, wtf with the snark?

I call those a boy who cried wolf warning. They do more harm than good. Good luck getting everyone to listen to the next warning when you wake up an entire metro of 1 million people on the south shore for no reason. Nothing looked overly concerning.

If they hadn't taken the correct approach in the BR area it wouldn't be quite as bad. That line looked similar then, and they didn't do that. Warn for wind and note the spin-up threat. That's the way it isusally done. Tor warning that whole section was lazy.

Saw on Unfiltered with Kiran that a tornado hit an area just outside New Roads early this evening (about 30 miles northwest of Baton Rouge). It hit an newer neighborhood on the water, but the damage was in an RV park right next to the lake. Some people had to go to the local hospital but no known fatalities. The photos/video of the damage look pretty ugly.

Lots of trees down there and towards St Francisville.

So it was not a False alarm for False River.

Think we three or four last year once, as well. Nasty signature out on the bay right now heading in to Baldwin Co.

Another “signature” that’s not even a waterspout that they wake up half of Baldwin county for.

This is getting old.
