They make skinny girls look heavier and heavy girls look not as heavy.
I guess it also goes back to the fact that they all wear it like its some required uniform.

Seems like he's publicly saying sundresses make women look fat so that he doesn't have to tell you that they make you look fat. At least he's being passive about it, instead of calling you fat.

That looks like a coverup not a sundress personally. However if that is considered a sundress, that is not what I picture as a good sundress. That is a lazy excuse for a sundress.
