jones, sundresses are kinda like scrubs...there's only a handful of chicks that can pull off looking super in them

quote:

A sundress is a dress intended to be worn in warm weather. Typically, it is an informal or casual dress in a lightweight fabric, most commonly cotton, and usually loose fitting. The dress is intended to be worn without a layering top. Lilly Pulitzer popularized the sundress in the 1960s.

I now think nobody on the OT knows what a sundress is.
It's not some specific dress..

It's a dress that isn't used for formal occasions and isn't long-sleeved.

You could get online and pick out 01248012840128190 dresses that fit the name. That's why I hate when guys use the term. Some sundresses look like dogshit. Some are cute.

It's like saying "shirts are ugly"

ok well thats kinda what i was talking about. LL just texted me the terminology that a sundress can be like 1000 different things.

Yea. Personally I see them as light/thin material, flowing, normally pretty colorful dresses. Definitely sleeveless and alot of time cut pretty low on the chest.

I do!

It's a cooking method. Not just slathering grilled meat with BBQ sauce.

My bf loves this look. He chooses to tell me this after going tailgating a few times. I'm not opposed to the look, I'd just rather wear jeans or shorts out there most of the time.

However, I do love me some sundresses, or any other casual comfy dress

Well that is because that is much more comfortable when going to a sporting event.

Same, I own a ton of them as well as a bunch of cute, casual maxi dresses now.

Just seems like your feet would get pretty rank wearing cowboy boots when it's so hot outside.

See, I find jeans and shorts to be way more restricting. I unbutton my jeans every time I wear them because it's too constricting on my waist. And they're not too small for me.

Only thing I like more than a dress is yoga pants. Which I'm not wearing to a game

I bet! I'd wear socks, but still. Hot weather.

I would say if they feel constricting...that is too small

Maybe I'm just more comfortable in jeans/shorts.

I just want more freedom to move at a sporting event. Where our tickets used to be at for the Cards games we went to....many times the row behind you was mostly empty for the first part of the game so it was easier to go down that row and climb down to your seat than make your row all stand up each time you wanted another drink, whatever. Can't do that in a lil sundress or skirt that easily.

It just that I felt like I was always holding my dress down if it was windy or that I always had to sit and make sure I was being proper when I was drunk. Shorts or jeans (when weather got cooler) allowed me to play round and be silly more comfortably.

Not that bad actually. Wore boots and shorts to work the about a month ago for a spring event. It was a hot sunny day and my feet were fine. Plus all the walking on campus makes me reconsider the concept because my boots are damn comfortable

If I go any larger, they're super baggy on my legs. I have tiny legs. My thighs are almost the same size as my calves. I'd rather have to unbutton them than wear pants that are baggy.

Maybe mine are just longer than you're thinking. The one and only thing a sundress limits is my indian-style sitting habit. Otherwise, it's never an issue.
