if you back it up in time you see how close the water was until now (if it's not just normal tidal range)

Xwitter was better before they started amplifying all the hack "news" accounts. You used to be able to search stuff like this and find reliable accounts that specialize in this stuff. Now, unless you just happen to follow those type accounts you're just not going to see it.

My parents are in that area (Nikiski/Kenai). They go up for the summer every year.

Edit: just tracked my dad’s phone. They are at their camp in nikiski, and not currently visiting his friends that are due south of Homer. They are good an inland. Their friends basically live near the coast

30’ tide changes are normal in that area. Their piers are on floats.
