Nothing, considering that the whole "phone will mess up the equipment" argument is complete bunk.

He started with the insults. I just returned the favor.

TSA is inefficient like every government run agency. My biggest problem is the inconsistent way that they do things between cities.

There needs to be separate lines for different types of travelers. People with kids or others who just don't know what to do should go to one line where multiple TSA agents are there to assist. Business or frequent travelers who know what to do should be able to breeze through with minimal effort.

They have the fast pass now which helps somewhat if they don't happen to get your name incorrect three times.

TSA agents think that they can do no wrong. An agent was yelling at me to clear the area. My computer, bag with wallet and cell phone, and shoes are sitting on the belt passed the-cray equipment but I can't reach them. A women who has three kids trying to go through the scan with a bag full of stuff that wasn't allowed. I refused to leave until I got my things. All they had to do was let my stuff go and I would have been gone. Instead it kept going backwards.

I fly about once a month, give or take... and I've never had an issue with TSA. I've had my carry on's checked on occasion, but nothing more than that. Granted, I've done very little international travel and don't log the miles a lot of guys do domestically.

Maybe I'm just lucky... or not a dick.

Eta: I fly out of Nashville, and they seem to not give a shite... I usually catch more grief on the return trip.

I wouldn't say I've ever had a problem with them, I've just surmised that it's a boondoggle of a security facade, employing the unemployable.

Yep. The whole terrorist boogeyman is a complete lie. Same goes for the mass shooter boogeyman.

You are more likely to get killed by MANY more things than most of what we are told to be afraid of.

not a lie, just a not as common as they'd have you believe.

also, I want to additionally complain about flight attendants who think they're the prison guards of the sky.

You're in customer service dickheads, so stop going up and down the aisles trying to bust electronics users and people with their seats back and give me my god damn gingerale.

Security theater. People want to feel like they're safe even though they don't even know what the situation is - that they'd still be safe without all these "measures".

Which is why it's gonna be so much more fun when the TSA doubles its security fees!...

I wish this myth were understood to be a myth. When you hunt down the source it seems to come back to an unreferenced letter by Rep Steve King. There's never been a proper source for this stuff and it now fills the talk radio and talking head media because none of them refute false information they like and none of them do any research.
