It's really not. Someone bringing an explosive on a plane is a danger RIGHT NOW, RIGHT THIS SECOND.

How do you know they are looking to blow up the plane? Ever think they may be looking to smuggle explosives into the US?

Someone crossing the border isn't necessarily an immediate danger to anyone right this second.

The Mexican government used southern Arizona as a firing range last week.

So because I have a different opinion than yours, I have a bone to pick? Get over yourself.

The TSA can suck my balls.

talk about a burden on the American society, we're paying for them to rob us of our rights for a goal that they cannot accomplish. They are woefully inept at their job as it is. The TSA is nothing more than the fat cow at mcdonalds with authority.

Apparently it is OK to get on the plane and show up two weeks later and blow something up just like walking across the Mexico border.

Anyone who has traveled enough internationally can tell you that this is an absolute farce.

TSA is a laughing stock.

TSA has got to be some kind of grandiose ruse. What an abortion.

He is from Thibodeaux. He thinks TSA stands for Thibodeaux Sanitation Administration.

I went to a political rally for Obama back in 2008. We had to turn our cell phones on when going inside. TSA was running security for that event.

I never thought it'd go mainstream in airport security.

if you decline their rape/pat down, and opt not to take the flight, they will have you detained and try to force you to comply through misrepresentations of law and threats. They are the scummiest of scum.

I heard Penn Jillette give an anecdote about refusing a pat down and opting to charter a private jet (I wish I had frick you money like that) they bullied him and despite his protests did it anyway. He called the cops and filed assault charges against the employee.

I know they were just offering him up dumb shite as recompense (apparently they're too stupid to figure out that a man who can afford a private jet isn't satisfied by trinkets and discounts)but I'm not sure what came of it...probably nothing

laughing stock doesn't begin to describe it. I just flew international, but the dumbest par for the course instances were all domestic

- I had a random inspection of my bag and she didn't realize that there was an equally large compartment that existed...the giant zipper should've been a big clue. I guess I could've put anything in there.
- At a separate screening (returning to the US after rechecking luggage) They told me I had to submit my wallet to x ray screening because it has compartments. I told them I didn't because I was concerned they'd steal it and pointed out that if that is the case, anyone wearing clothing with pockets should strip and put them through. According to the white kid with dreads, I'm a racist for the stealing comment even though 2 of the 5 imbeciles working the security line were white.

frick I just hate them. It is every American traveler's duty to be complete dicks to them.

Then you must not have flown anytime in the past 13 years, and certainly no where outside of the country. Chinese customs are literally less of a pain in the arse than the TSA.

due to the 7/4 holiday, foreign nations were doing pat downs that wouldn't even pass muster here and telling passengers it was on behalf of the TSA.

So a fat Spanish dude groped my balls illegally at the behest of the American government. apparently they can fricking do anything to you so long as they get someone else to do it for them. The real tragedy is the other one at the gate was an OT10 knockout...I'd donate to them if she performed the inspection.

I'm not sure where Thibodeaux is baw. I have flown 6 times in the last 3 months and haven't stood in line longer than 20 minutes and haven't had to do anything other than take off my shoes and belt

That's the whole point. Biggest waste of $10 each flight you take.

You aren't getting your money's worth. And they aren't doing anything but providing security theater.

Actually the border situation is far-far worse.

2,977 people died on 9/11.

12 American citizens per day are killed by illegal aliens.

Allow me to do the math for you.

over 44 thousand Americans have been murdered by illegal immigrants since the 3 thousand died on 9/11.
