Seeing some convection go up near the center of #TD4 as it approaches the SC coast this afternoon. It may have just enough time to reach TS status before moving inland this evening

not even into July yet and we're already through the "D" storm

Elsa... you're up next... will we get to July already past the "E" storm?

Soooooo much frickery going on with this storm. Some news outlets have been calling it Danny for a couple hours already. Others on Twitter still aren't calling it anything other than TD4. It just only got upgraded to a Tropical Storm at the 2pm advisory.

Awww, look! It is Peej! Hey little boy. You gonna come play with the grown folks, or are you too drunk again?

ETA: I do like it when you bash Medic, though. Keep that up, please.

The media being stupid isn't frickery though, it's just the norm.

From tropical designation to now, the NHC decisions have all made sense.

I agree with that.

What I don't like is Twitter, a platform that is soon to launch its own subscription-based weather service/platform, doesn't appear to care at all about official NWS/NHC processes.

New norm.

Weather is just another politicized movement now. We can’t get the truth on anything anymore.

Yes, storms finally firing off near the center. This naming looks legit.

That's because the first two names got stolen by dinky little systems.

Unless Danny is a yuuuge rainmaker it'll be 3 of the first 4.

If someone relies on Twitter for reliable weather they deserve to get blown away

Maybe. But Twitter is legitimately getting into the weather business. This won't be like someone currently relying solely on WxTwitter today for their weather info. It will cost people to get their forecasts and warnings, though. Several on-air mets have already signed up to be a part of it.

It was most likely a TD last night before the storms got sheared off. Then today it just needed sustained convection near the center for the upgrade to TS. This is more legit than #3.

This damned storm just ripped my LSU flag on Edisto Beach. I'll be sure to get you guys some links to donate to the relief efforts.
